First Day of SchoolFrom bus routes to school supplies, we've compiled all the information you need to get ready to go back to school on Tuesday, Aug. 13.

Bus routes
Bus routes for the 2019-2020 school year are published on the transportation page.

Start times
Schools within the Mehlville School District have a tiered start:
• Mehlville High and Oakville High start at 7:15 a.m. and dismiss at 2:10 p.m. Half day early dismissal is at 11:25 a.m.
• Buerkle starts at 7:15 a.m. and dismisses at 2:05 p.m. Half day early dismissal is at 11:25 a.m.
• Beasley, Bernard, Blades, Oakville Middle and Washington start at 8 a.m. and dismiss at 2:50 p.m. Half day early dismissal is at 12:10 p.m.
• Bierbaum, Forder, Hagemann, Oakville Elementary, Point, Rogers, Trautwein and Wohlwend start at 8:45 a.m. and dismiss at 3:35 p.m. Half day early dismissal is at 12:55 p.m.
• MOSAIC starts at 9:10 a.m. and dismisses at 4:10 p.m. Half day early dismissal is at 1:20 p.m.
• Early childhood schedules vary. The first day of school for early childhood is Wednesday, Aug. 14.

School breakfast and lunch information
Breakfast costs $1.50 at all schools except Beasley and Forder, where breakfast is free due to the Universal Free Breakfast Program. Lunch at elementary schools costs $2.40 except for pizza day, which is $2.60. Lunch at middle and high schools is $2.65; spicy chicken and pizza days are $2.85. New this year: Families can apply for free and reduced meals online. 

Sign up for MySchoolBucks.com to review your child’s meal balance or add money to their account (there is a $2.49 fee per transaction). You can also pay for meals by sending your student to school with cash or a check made out to Mehlville School District.

Calendars and events
Download the 2019-20 calendar which includes holidays, early dismissal days and school breaks. You can view school events using our Google calendars. Filter which schools you see by selecting the Agenda dropdown and turning off schools you are not interested in. 

Update your family profile 
Parents will have fewer forms to fill out on the first day of school this year. Save time and paper by logging into the Parent Portal after Aug. 1 to verify or update your phone numbers, email addresses, emergency contacts and other important information.

The family information update can be accessed through the Parent Portal (beginning Aug. 1). Get more information or log in now.

Keeping in Touch
School principals have been emailing and/or texting newsletters and reminders to parents. If you haven't received any communication from your child's principal, please call the school and make sure they have the correct contact information for you. Find your school.

You must text from a phone number provided when you enrolled your child or listed in the Parent Portal for your student. You can opt-out of text messaging at any time by replying Stop to any text message. Standard message and data rates may apply.
