Board of Education approves 2023-2024 school calendar

The Mehlville Board of Education approved the calendar for the 2023-2024 school year at its Dec. 15 meeting.

The first day of school for the 2023-2024 school year is Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2023. The last day of school is Wednesday, May 29, 2024, dependent on snow days.

The district has approval from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to provide virtual instruction on up to five days each year. When our campuses close due to winter or inclement weather, students will log in to their Chromebooks and connect with teachers from the safety of their homes. If we use all five virtual learning days, we will use traditional snow/inclement weather days. Traditional snow days must be made up at the end of the school year.

Prior to being approved by the Board of Education, school calendars are developed by the calendar committee, which includes school district staff and parents.
