Register for a free developmental screening through Parents as Teachers

PAT-screening.jpgFamilies with children ages 3 through 5 can register for a free developmental screening with Mehlville Parents as Teachers.

The screening provides families and early childhood and kindergarten teachers information on how a child is meeting developmental milestones, what skills to expect next and how to best support a child’s learning.

"We recommend all families of incoming kindergarten students take advantage of this free screening," said Erin Amador, Mehlville Parents as Teachers and Early Childhood Coordinator. "The information we gather during the screening helps us ensure your child has a positive kindergarten experience with the supports your child needs to reach their potential."

Screenings, called the DIAL-4, take about an hour and are conducted by trained screeners in a play-based environment at John Cary Early Childhood Center. Screenings can also be done at Mehlville Summer Session locations during the school day.

For questions or to book a screening appointment, call Erin Amador at 314-467-5303 or email [email protected].
