Prop E passesMehlville School District voters passed Prop E with 63.63 percent of the votes. Almost 14,000 people voted in the election held on Tuesday, April 4.

"On behalf of the Mehlville Board of Education, thank you for your support of our schools," said Peggy Hassler, Board of Education president. "The passage of Prop E will make our schools stronger by allowing us to invest in our employees through competitive wages. Our hope is that Prop E makes an immediate impact by increasing the number and quality of candidates who apply for our open positions. Salary increases will go into effect in the 2023-2024 school year."

In the coming weeks, district leaders will be presenting the Board of Education with proposed salary schedules that bring our employee pay in line with average pay for school districts in the county.
