MyPath student at Mehlville High SchoolMehlville School District is hosting a Student Choice Program Night for students and parents to learn more about the opportunities available to them. 

The event will be held Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. in Nottelmann Auditorium (3200 Lemay Ferry Rd). Students will learn about the following programs: 

Early College Academy
Students who enroll in the Early College Academy attend courses at St. Louis Community College during their junior and senior year, allowing them the opportunity to graduate with both a high school diploma and an Associate of Arts.

MyPath
Students develop their own personalized plan of study based on their post-secondary interests  and goals. The process allows students to develop their own curriculum, make real-world connections with industry professionals. MyPath culminates with a presentation of the student’s work to a public audience.

South Tech High School
Juniors and seniors can elect to attend half-day career and technical education at South Tech. South Tech offers 26 tuition-free career and technical education in “majors” like automotive technology, cosmetology, construction, law enforcement and veterinary assistance. Students explore their career interests while earning industry certifications, college and high school credit, and skills that will last a lifetime.

STLCAPS (St. Louis Centers for Advanced Professional Studies)
STLCAPS programs allow students to learn in a professional climate and solve real-world problems in one of our four fields of study: Global Business and Entrepreneurship; Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing; Healthcare, Medicine and Bioscience; Technology Solutions and Logistics; and Careers in Education.

These courses all align with our Portrait of a Graduate which aims to give every student the values and skills needed to lead successful professional and personal lives. Students can talk to their counselor or read more about our student choice programs.
