Two Mehlville School District seniors were recognized as 2018 Outstanding Student Leaders this month. Kaitlyn Kirkley, from Mehlville High School, and Mia Lukic, from Oakville High School received awards.

The Outstanding Student Leader award is presented by the St. Louis County Department of Human Services in cooperation with Washington University. The Outstanding Student Leadership Program provides training and recognition to youth in St. Louis County, assisting youth with development of the skills they need to be effective leaders and citizens. One senior from each county high school is nominated annually by his or her principal for participation in a leadership conference and recognition ceremony.
