Board of Education election results Spring 2022During the April 5 Board of Education election, Scott Huegerich and Sarah “Grace” Wright were elected to the Mehlville Board of Education. Both candidates are new to the Board of Education and will serve three-year terms.

Huegerich and Wright fill board seats that will be vacated by Larry Felton and Kevin Schartner. Felton has served five terms on the Mehlville Board of Education. Schartner has served two terms on the Board. Both did not seek re-election.

Huegerich is the co-founder and managing partner of a local marketing and communications company. He is a graduate of Mehlville High School and also attended Buerkle Middle School and Bierbaum Elementary School. He has three children who have graduated from the district. He is an active volunteer with the MHS Class of ’86 Scholarship Fund, Southeast Missouri State University Department of Mass Media, and Fill Up the Pickup food drives.


More about Sarah “Grace” Wright Sarah "Grace" Wright
Wright is a senior project manager and civil engineer at Great Rivers Greenway where she has planned, designed and built billions of dollars in infrastructure, utilizing federal, state and local funding mechanisms. Wright is a member of the Engineers’ Club of St. Louis. She is a parent and step-parent of five high-school-aged students in the district. 

Huegerich and Wright will be sworn in at the April 14 meeting of the Mehlville Board of Education. This meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Mehlville High School Library (3200 Lemay Ferry Road) and will be live-streamed on the Mehlville School District YouTube channel.
