Oakville High School seniors Andy Curran and Katie Seithel both recently earned a perfect score of 36 on the ACT. This is a feat accomplished by only 0.2% of students who take the test.
Curran has been involved in athletics and other extracurricular activities during his time at OHS. He played soccer and volleyball and is in National Honor Society and Students on the Go Running Club. Curran will be attending Northwestern University where he’ll major in engineering in hopes of becoming a chemical or biomedical engineer.
Seithel has taken leadership roles in several organizations at OHS including National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, French National Honor Society and Book Club. She’s also been the team manager of the boys volleyball team throughout her high school career. Seithel is attending Duke University where she plans to double major in environmental policy and political science. She hopes to either work in a state department or in environmental education.
“We’re so proud of Andy and Katie for this wonderful achievement,” said Tamara Sunkett, Oakville High School principal. “We are proud of the three members of the Oakville High School Class of 2021 who’ve managed to achieve this amazing accomplishment!”
OHS senior Hannah Franke and MHS senior Matthew Hansen previously achieved a perfect score on the ACT during their junior year.
