Mehlville School District is hiring bus drivers for the 2025-2026 school year
The Mehlville School District has several openings for bus drivers for the 2025-2026 school year and is now accepting applications.
Bus drivers play a vital role in the district, ensuring that students get to school and back home safely each day. Serving as a bus driver is rewarding work.
“We’re the first people the students see each morning, so I try to make a positive impact at the start of their day,” said Katrina Woodard, a bus driver.
The starting pay for bus drivers in the Mehlville School District is $19.45/hour, though a higher starting pay can be provided for relevant years of experience. In addition to competitive pay, the position offers health insurance and retirement benefits. New hires in our Transportation Department participate in paid training and receive assistance with earning their commercial driver’s license.
Working as a bus driver provides a great schedule. Bus drivers are off when school is closed, meaning that drivers have holidays, weekends and summers off. After working their morning routes, bus drivers also have a break before returning for their afternoon routes at the end of the day.
