Mehlville School District finances receive highest opinion from auditors
Upon review of Mehlville School District’s finances for the 2025 fiscal year, auditors from Mueller Oberkfell & Jones, LLC issued the district’s accounting practices its highest marks, an unmodified opinion, or clean audit.
“I am pleased to report that we issued an unmodified opinion, which means the financial statements are presented fairly in all material respects,” said Hope Hernandez, audit associate with Mueller Oberkfell & Jones, LLC. “In other words, it was a clean audit with no material errors or issues noted. This is the highest level of assurance that can be provided and the best opinion a district can receive.”
The audit also found that the district is in compliance with Missouri laws and regulations, including budgetary and disbursement procedures, accurate disclosure of attendance and transportation records, and other requirements, Hernandez said.
“We take great pride in following sound accounting practices and ensuring fiscal responsibility and transparency,” said Marshall Crutcher, Chief Financial Officer for Mehlville School District. “We welcome and appreciate these annual audits as a tool to verify our responsible financial operations.”
The audit report was presented to the Mehlville Board of Education on November 20, 2025.
