Back to school: Your guide to prepare for the 2026-2027 school year
The Mehlville School District is excited to welcome students back to school on Monday, August 24! This back-to-school guide will help parents and guardians get ready for the first day. It includes information about meals, bus routes, school supplies, updating your family’s information and more!
New student registration
It’s important that new students are registered as soon as possible, so staff can complete course assignments and procure Chromebooks and other supplies before the start of school. Registration instructions can be found on the enrollment section of our website.
If you have trouble with the registration process, please contact a member of our registration team or call 314-467-5000 for assistance.
Existing Student Update
The Existing Student Update must be completed annually by all returning families. It allows parents and guardians to review and update phone numbers, email addresses and other important information. It also contains our annual notifications, media release form, medical records and technology policies.
The Existing Student Update can be completed on your phone or desktop using the Infinite Campus app. Infinite Campus also contains students’ grades, attendance and other records. Parents and guardians will not be able to view their child’s schedule (once released in mid-August) until they complete the Existing Student Update.
>> Visit the App Store to download Campus Parent for an iPhone.
>> Visit the Google Play Store to download Campus Parent for an Android.
If you have trouble accessing your Infinite Campus account, please call 314-467-5000.

Please complete the free and reduced meals application again this school year even if your family did not qualify for free and reduced meals last school year. Assistance may be available if your family is close to the thresholds.
Before and after school care
Right at School will provide before and after school care at our elementary schools for the 2026-2027 school year. Learn more and register for Right at School.
Bell times/Alternate schedules
Mehlville School District operates on a tiered schedule for school start and end times. Find bell times for regular days, as well as for half/early release days.
If a winter weather event causes road conditions to be unsafe, we will have a traditional snow day or operate on a virtual learning schedule. Mehlville School District can use virtual instruction for up to five inclement weather days. Your child’s school or teacher will communicate expectations for virtual learning days. These virtual learning days do not need to be made up at the end of the school year.
On both virtual learning days and traditional snow days, all after-school and evening activities and events are canceled unless otherwise communicated. This includes Right at School, community education programs and facility rentals.
Parents will be notified of changes to our normal operations via text, phone call and email through ParentSquare. Additionally, high school students will receive an email or app notification via ParentSquare. This information will also be announced on the district's Facebook and Instagram accounts, via our district website, and through local television stations and other media partners.
Keeping in touch
The Mehlville School District staff communicates with families through the communication platform ParentSquare. ParentSquare is a collaborative school-home communication platform designed to reach and engage every parent. Parents can choose the communication type and frequency they prefer. Families can also set the language they wish to receive communication in.
While parents and guardians are automatically enrolled in ParentSquare, those who have not previously registered for the service will receive a text message or email with a link to register in early August. Registering gives parents the opportunity to set their language and contact preferences.
Subscribe to receive email newsletters
The district also communicates updates through subscription-based email newsletters. Updates include e-Messenger, a monthly newsletter about the district, Board Notes from Mehlville Board of Education meetings, Community Education course updates and Employment Opportunities. Subscribe to receive email updates from the Mehlville School District.
