Forder Elementary receives new climbing wall

Forder Climbing WallStudents returned to Forder Elementary in August to find a brand new rock-climbing wall in the school's gym. The wall, which was installed earlier this month, was paid for by a donation from Century Credit Union.

Students will use the rock-climbing wall during physical education class. The wall is magnetic, which allows teachers to mark paths along the wall for students to follow. Forder's creative PE teachers plan to use the wall to promote physical fitness while also reinforcing what students are learning in reading by creating paths using grade-level sight words.

Century Credit Union staff visited Forder Elementary on Aug. 13 to present a check for the wall.
