Summer Session

Mehlville School District offers a free Summer Session for all children entering kindergarten through 12th grade, June 1-26, 2026. There is no Summer Session on June 19, 2026.

Summer Session is designed to:

• Provide a jump-start to elementary school for kindergarten students
• Offer high-quality instruction and enrichment activities to revisit and reinforce the curriculum for incoming elementary and middle school aged students
• Allow high school students to recover credits or earn elective or physical education credits in-person or virtually.

Transportation shuttles will run from students’ home schools to the summer session site. Breakfast and lunch will be available daily for a fee. Households that qualify for free and reduced price meals this school year do not have to complete another application. The meal benefits will continue through the summer session. Households who feel they might qualify for support can apply for free and reduced meals here. Before and after care is available for elementary students through Right at School.

How do I register my child?

Families can register their incoming students using the links below. The deadline to enroll in elementary Summer Session is May 5. After May 5, the district will open a wait list and attempt to place as many elementary students as possible. Middle and high school Summer Session enrollment is open as space allows.

Please contact the Summer Session registrar at enrollment@msdr9.org for assistance with enrollment. The Summer Session registrar will review submitted applications. If additional information is required, the parents and/or guardians will receive an email with further instructions. Please remember that a student is not fully enrolled until the parent receives an email stating their child’s application has been approved.

Elementary School Summer Session, June 1-26, 2026

Locations: Forder Elementary, Hagemann Elementary and Wohlwend Elementary
Daily times: 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Students from Beasley, Bierbaum and Forder elementary school attendance areas will attend Summer Session at Forder Elementary School. Shuttles to Forder will be available at Beasley and Bierbaum.

Students from Blades, Hagemann and Trautwein elementary school attendance areas will attend Summer Session at Hagemann Elementary School. Shuttles to Hagemann Elementary will be available at Blades and Trautwein.

Students from Point, Rogers, Oakville and Wohlwend elementary school attendance areas will attend Summer Session at Wohlwend Elementary School. Shuttles to Wohlwend will be available at Point, Oakville Elementary and Rogers.

Middle School Summer Session, June 1-26, 2026

Location: Washington Middle School
Daily times: 7:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

Shuttles to Washington Middle are available from Bernard Middle, Buerkle Middle and Oakville Middle.

High School Summer Session, June 1-12, 2026 (session 1), and June 15-26, 2026 (session 2)

Location: Bernard Middle School (due to summer construction at both Mehlville and Oakville high schools)

Session 1: 7:45 to 10:45 a.m. and/or 11:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
Session 2: 7:25 to 10:45 a.m. and/or 11:15 a.m. to 2:35 p.m.

High school students can earn up to two credits during Summer Session. Virtual options are available. Registered students will receive an email to select classes in mid-April.

A shuttle will be available from Mehlville and Oakville high schools.
