Mission Statement

The Mehlville School District's mission is to build a high-performing school system rooted in the community's desire to build a culture of improvement for staff and students.

About the District

Located in south St. Louis County, the Mehlville School District encompasses all or part of the unincorporated communities of Mehlville, Oakville, Concord and Lemay. Through its dedication to providing institutional excellence, fiscal responsibility and community benefit, our fully accredited district serves the educational needs of about 10,000 children in a community of about 96,000 residents within 42 square miles.

The Mehlville School District Administration Building is located on the campus of Mehlville High School and is open on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Mehlville School District is fully accredited and earned a top score in the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s Annual Performance Report.
Mehlville School District has nationally recognized high schools. Both Mehlville High School and Oakville High School are ranked in the top 10 percent of Missouri public high schools by Niche.com in 2025.
Mehlville School District is committed to providing rigorous, personalized instruction and a variety of academic choices for students.
Mehlville School District is proud to be the home of MOSAIC Elementary School, where teachers facilitate personalized learning paths for students based on their pace, goals and interests.
Middle schools offer one of the most extensive menus of elective courses in the region, with more than 30 elective offerings. They can also choose to attend a Middle School Academy, which offers students the opportunity to learn core curriculum through blended learning opportunities, project-based learning and inquiry-based learning.
High school students gain real-world experience through student choice programs like the St. Louis Centers for Advanced Professional Studies and South Tech. They can earn college credit through the Early College Academy, numerous Advanced Placement and dual credit courses.

The district was selected to join the Digital Promise League of Innovative Schools, a coalition of forward-thinking schools across the country that are providing students with unique learning opportunities.
The Mehlville Early Childhood Program received the FutureBuilders Early Childhood Program of the Year award from the Missouri School Boards’ Association.
The Mehlville Board of Education has received numerous awards from the Missouri School Boards’ Association for their commitment to effective governance.
