Mehlville School District Board of Education Candidate Filing

Any person wishing to file for the Mehlville School District Board of Education may do so in the Superintendent’s office located at 3120 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63125, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. beginning Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, through Friday, Jan. 12, 2018. The final day for filing will be Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. An election for two seats on the Board will be held Tuesday, April 3, 2018. The seats carry a three-year term. The office will be closed on Monday, Dec. 25, 2017, through Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, for winter break. The office is also closed on Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. No filings will be accepted on dates when the office is closed or when school is closed for inclement weather.

Eligible candidates must be a United States citizen, a resident taxpayer of the Mehlville School District, will have resided in Missouri for a minimum of one (1) year preceding their election and at least 24 years of age. Please refer to Policy BBBA-1, Board Member Qualifications. Under the provisions of Missouri Statute Section 115.124, if the number of candidates who file is equal to the number of positions to be filled by the election (two), no election will be held. However, if the number of candidates filing exceeds the number of positions, the annual school election will be held on April 3, 2018. For more information call (314) 467-5000.
